The next step

Once farmers have successfully completed the agricultural training, they can start working on their own fields. In the first year they work towards food security for themselves. The next year they can sell the surplus of the harvest so that they can start saving.

Foundations For Farming’s training includes a module that trains farmers to get the most out of the small amount they manage. The first step is for farmers to learn to manage their own finances: saving and looking ahead in the short and long term.

Small and large companies

Tree of Life facilitates training for good financial management. For example, farmers can be trained as trainers, but courses for setting up their own business are also possible. Think, for example, of a company that repairs roofs, a chicken farm or a company that makes bricks.
