Family Niemeijer

The team in Zambia is getting reinforcements! The Niemeijer family, consisting of Arjan, Dieneke and their five beautiful children: Yoel, Abel, Ise, Jarah and Serrah, are about to embark on a new exciting adventure!

At the beginning of 2026, they want to move to Kabwe, Zambia, to work as missionaries at the Elyada Center. They feel called to contribute to the further growth of the centre. The need in Zambia is great: there is poverty and many people with mental health issues, but there is hardly any help available.

Utilising talents in the Kingdom

Dieneke wants to use her talents in mental health care, and Arjan will use his experience to manage the farm and counselling centre and prepare them for the next phase.

Elyada Centre is emerging from its pioneering phase and developing into the management phase. The work rests on two pillars:
1) Elyada Farm, where regenerative agriculture is practised and taught.
2) The Counselling and Mental Health Programme.

These two components are closely linked and together express a belief in a God who heals and restores.
