Christian Slager
Christian Slager has been involved as a co-founder since 2006 and provides daily leadership at Tree of Life. As the central figure in the network, there are days when he calls, messages, and Zooms with ‘half the world.’
Translating the reality in project countries into concrete projects, communicating with supporters, fundraising, and establishing partnerships are just a few aspects of his work. Christian is married to Anneke, and together they have a lovely daughter and son.
Hedwig van Dijkhuizen
Hedwig van Dijkhuizen has been involved with the foundation since early 2021. As a copywriter, she focuses on writing project proposals, contributing to the vision, and handling other PR-related tasks.
Additionally, she works together with amazing volunteers on the website, photo database, and social media. Hedwig is married to Joost, and together they have a beautiful daughter.
Job van den Dikkenberg
Job joined the foundation’s team in November 2025. In addition to meticulously managing the administration, he is the familiar face for all your questions. With his enthusiasm for fundraising, he contributes every day to the growth of our foundation and the impact we make together.
Berthine Heederik
As of October 2024, Berthine has been officially involved with Tree of Life, though she has been engaged with the foundation for some time. As a Project Coordinator, she oversees and manages contacts in the mission fields, which she also visits regularly.
She also connects external organizations—interested in learning more about agricultural methods—to Tree of Life. Berthine lives in the far north of the Netherlands, is married to Rinke, and has written this beautiful book: I Will Heal Their Land.
Bianca Prins
Since September 2022, Bianca has been volunteering one fixed day per week at the office. She brings warmth, positivity, and practical wisdom to the team. Every Tuesday, she supports the team as a volunteer in relationship management and donor administration.
In addition, she is also active as a board member. Bianca is married to André, and they have two wonderful daughters.
