Our DNA
All Tree of Life trainings are based on the Bible and carry our DNA of discipleship and togetherness, so people can work together. Step by step, towards the end of poverty.
Tree of Life’s DNA contains a strong sense of responsibility to do something about poverty and to take good care of creation. We set up self-sufficient projects, giving poor people the opportunity to build a livelihood for themselves. We always work together with local partner organizations and churches.
Our DNA in Practice
Farming
Agricultural activities that are carried out in a good, sustainable way make the difference. This is how we work from food scarcity to food security!
Flora & Fauna
Tree of Life believes it is important to take good care of the earth, to protect it and to restore damaged ecosystems.
Faith
Tree of Life believes in Jesus Christ as its Savior and Redeemer. We are moved by compassion for people who live in poverty.
Family
The family is the cornerstone of society! Brokenness reigns in many families, but recovery is possible through a change of heart.
Friends
At church children’s clubs, children learn about God’s love and receive a healthy meal. In addition to this, there are also opportunities for teenagers in the form of sports clubs and (evangelism) weekends.
Finances
Good management of financial resources can make a big difference. Tree of Life facilitates training in good financial management.
Our DNA is further elaborated in the policy plan.
